I lead the development of event-driven and data-intensive full stack applications.
Most recently, I have been working as a software technical lead on Capital One’s Cloud Engineering team, building up both cloud engineers and full stack Python developers to manage and monitor the largest AWS estate in banking.
I have been involved in two patent applications (both pending), sometimes contribute to open source projects like graphene and sqlalchemy-utils and Cloud Custodian, and present occasionally at public conferences about software strategies to keep AWS well managed at scale.
In prior roles, I was building debt trading data pipelines and analytic applications for the largest bank in Tennessee. I have been working in the regulated financial product market for 6 years, and also briefly worked on an API unification project leveraging GraphQL at Hilton.
Maybe more importantly, I enjoy developing software talent – mentoring developers to think critically about their work product, communicate well about it, and learn to teach others.
